Notice on Publishing Revised Approved Label Content

  Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's

  Republic of China　

   For the purpose of implementing the “Measures for the Administration of Pesticide

   Labels and Manuals”, the electronic label layout announced on the China Pesticide

   Information Network will be revised since August 1, 2019, with the approved label

   content published only. Related matters are hereby notified as follows.

   I. Published approved label content

   In accordance with the newly revised “Measures for the Administration of Pesticide

   Labels and Manuals”, when a pesticide is in process of registration, only the content

   about safety and validity of the label will be reviewed, while the label format as well

   as the product certification, enterprise relevance and like information marked by the

   enterprise will not be subject to reviewing. The approved information includes:

   (I) Information about the certificate for pesticide registration, including the number

   and holder of the certificate for pesticide registration, pesticide name, formulation,

   toxicity and symbol, total content of active ingredients, active ingredients and their

   contents, scope of use, and method of use.

   (II) Content about safety and validity, including product performance, technical

   requirements on usage, precautions, first aid measures in case of poisoning, storage

   and transportation methods, and a warranty period.

   (III) Other content, including remarks, approval date, and re-approval date, wherein

   the remarks mainly include the words such as “Restricted for Use", the specified

   pattern of rodenticide, and the indication of the active ingredients of certain pesticides.

   II. Collection method for electronic labels

   Registrant applying for pesticide registration or modification of pesticide registration

   shall submit an electronic label on the China Pesticide Digital Supervision &

   Management Platform (www.icama.cn). Once approved, a new label will be issued

   with an electronic label published.

   For registered products without electronic label information, the holder of the

   certificate for pesticide registration may submit a re-approval application to the

   Government Service Hall of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the

   label will be published once approved. The “Pesticide Label Collection System” on

   the China Pesticide Information Network will be closed on September 1, 2019.

   III. Inquiry method for electronic labels

   The electronic labels of pesticide products that have been approved for registration

   will be published on the China Pesticide Information Network (www.icama.org.cn).

   You can visit the “Data Center” of the China Pesticide Information Network, and enter

   the number of the certificate for pesticide registration in “Registered Data” for inquiry.

   The visitors can click on the "Approval Date" or "Re-approval Date" to find the

   corresponding label approval content. The approval dates of most labels are difficult

   to inquire, so the approval dates of such electronic labels are indicated by "/".
